Analyst - Canalys
As a Research Analyst based in Canalys’ Singapore office, Sharon Hui works as part of the global channels team. She supports the Partner Program Analysis and Channels Analysis services, focusing on the Asia Pacific region.
Prior to joining Canalys in July 2015, Sharon was a Market Researcher at TNS Singapore, where she conducted online, face-to-face, computer-assisted telephone interviewing (CATI) and other studies across a broad range of industries, including telecommunications, consumer electronics, media, banking, healthcare, cosmetics and tourism. She was initially part of the technology team, working with companies such as HP, Toshiba, Philips and Lenovo, but subsequently moved to the socio-political team (within the customer experience team) where she gained valuable experience in more complex marketing science work. Her focus was on helping clients understand customers and employees and making marketing information better. Her report analysis experience includes product usage and behavior, segmentation, competitor analysis, customer satisfaction, net promoter score, product testing, concept testing and pre-post campaign measurement.
Sharon grew up in Singapore and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Studies from Singapore’s Nanyang Technological University Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information. During her tertiary education years, she interned in Shanghai to gain exposure to the Chinese market, and attended the University of California (Los Angeles), studying business modules, on a summer exchange program. She is fluent in both Mandarin and English.
