Analyst - Canalys
As an Analyst based in Palo Alto, Daniel Matte leads the Wearable Technology Analysis service. He also studies the mobile and PC industries. His primary research interests are the economics of technology platforms, wearables and mobile computing. Daniel covers market strategy for mobile and wearable devices, and software and hardware components on behalf of clients and the press. He has traveled extensively, including to Taiwan and China, to present on these topics.
Prior to joining Canalys in 2013, Daniel worked in market operations in the energy industry. He obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from Stanford University, where he studied econometrics, micro- and macroeconomics, financial economics and statistical programming.
Daniel’s work experience includes acquiring and analyzing large data sets, defining and sizing markets, collaborating on team research projects, and working for corporate clients.
